about

The Sprung EP, the only Mister Fusty music of 2008, is the last wholly instrumental release. After this vocals shall come forth!
"Hello Evolution" - Features a strange beginning, me saying 'hello' backwards, then proceeds in a harpsichord/vintage keyboard style. The title is a simple one, I had just got a new MIDI keyboard - made by Evolution - and this is the first track I used it on!
"Window Seat" - this is an exercise in dreamy mellotron sounds (not a real one alas) It sounded like great music to be listening to whilst you were looking out of an airplane window, hence the title.
"Going Underwater" - a strange one this. Part child-like, part sinister. Obviously I was playing around with more vintage keyboard sounds!
"Drunk at the Disco" - this started out as a serious attempt at dance music until I realise I was not a big fan, nor was very good at producing, dance music. It's the musical equivalent of a drunk guy gatecrashing a party full of ravers.
"The Theme From" - this is my homage to John Barry, a pastiche of 1950s spy movie themes. Mr Barry is a big hero of mine.
"Starlight" - this developed from a rhodes chord sequence I was messing around with. Probably my favourite track on this EP.
